Formed in 2008, the Aus Yachts business unit is the group’s specialised design studio located at our shipyard on the East Coast of Australia. The Aus Yachts team is a direct link between the drafting table and the workshop floor. The symbiotic relationship allows us to design with an understanding of how it will be built. Consequently, creating designs that are inherently efficient in terms of weight, strength and build cost.

As designers, we have extensive experience of the boat building process. We are also able to offer our services to clients requiring technical representation. Our wealth of experience has exposed us to an array of construction methods and vessel types. We assist our clients with planning for any new build projects and support them with ongoing shipyard inspections as owners’ representatives.

We also pride ourselves on our knowledge of international and domestic Regulations and Classification Society rules and can provide consultation and checking of proposed designs, modifications or new installations.

Aus Yachts are also well versed in the design of components for existing vessels. We engineer solutions that expand the capability of your existing vessel. Utilising our 3D printer, we can help you visualise a potential hull extension or custom make componentry for bespoke applications.
