The Aus Ships Group recently completed the refit, docking and reconfiguration of Sealink’s 35 metre 400 passenger high speed catamaran from a crew transfer to a tourist vessel.

Having served 5 very successful years on the Gladstone LNG project, she is now plying the waters of Western Australian taking holiday makers and locals alike to and from Rottnest Island.

The 6 week docking at Aus Ships’ Brisbane base included the 5 year survey docking, waterjet & main engine overhauls, interior upgrades including a custom designed and built café, reconfigured passenger seating.

The vessel is now capable of carrying significant luggage and cargo thanks to the newly fitted knuckle boom davit crane on the upper deck. Additional exterior modifications included integrated boarding gangways and bicycle stowage arrangements.

And to finish it all off superbly, was a complete re-wrap of the exterior to reflect the newly unveiled corporate livery of the Sealink Travel Group.

Quokka 1 now operating multiple services daily from Fremantle – check it out at www.sealinkrottnest.com.au
